How It Works

The TS35040 is a wedge-style silencer. You slide it into the receiver alongside your ball mount shank, and when your hitch pin is inserted and locked, the silencer is compressed between the shank and the receiver tube wall. This eliminates the gap that causes rattle. No adhesive, no permanent fasteners — just remove the pin, slide out the silencer, and it comes free with the ball mount.

Installation Tips

• Insert your ball mount shank into the receiver as normal.
• Slide the TS35040 silencer into the gap between the shank and the receiver tube wall — typically along the top or side depending on where the slack is.
• Insert your hitch pin through the receiver and shank as you normally would. The pin compresses the silencer in place.
• Secure with your hitch pin clip or lock as usual.
• To remove, pull the hitch pin and slide both the ball mount and silencer free.
